Chinese Archaistic White Jade Vase


A gu-form, hollowed, white jade stone with high relief, openwork kylin decoration along the top and foot. This jade is slightly translucent with a marble-like, milky texture. A fitted, wood stand is included. No marks, carved in China. Condition: natural flaws, very good. Dimensions: jade 12.5″ height, 14″ total height on stand.  (7701-cj)

Japanese Foil-Ground Cloisonné Vase


This elegant bombe-form vase was crafted in Japan during the Meiji Period by a Japanese artist of the Ando school. The vase features a textural foil ground covered with translucent and opaque enamels painted loosely between stylized Cloisonné wire outlines of flowers and foliage. The vase measures 9.5 inches height at the rim. (jc-12)
